What’s In My Makeup Bag: January + February

I’ve had so many great products I’ve added to my makeup bag lately and it’s finally time to share what’s in my bag! I’m hoping to make this a monthly post since I go through so much makeup (help 😂). I won’t be going into too much detail on these products, but watch out for makeup tutorials if you’d like to see them in action. What’s in your makeup bag? Happy Wednesday!

Maybelline Superstay Better Skin Concealer: This concealer from Maybelline has become my favorite for undereye and redness touch ups! It’s less than $10 and covers really well. I just went to Target yesterday and bought 4 tubes so I didn’t run out for a while 😂🙌🏽 A tutorial on using this concealer as a foundation is here!

e.l.f Lash Kit: I did a tiny e.l.f. haul a few weeks ago and scored about 10 products for less than $40 (hollaaaa) and I got a few kits with lashes. There are a ton different kits you can get but my favorite is the maximum drama because the varied length is flawless and I love how thick they are. Order online if you want more options instead of in store (I think I only saw two or three different kits in Target)!

Maybelline Dream Velvet Foundation: I just started using this foundation (tutorial here) and I really love the finish. The tones are a little odd, I’ve tried 3 different shades and they are all very peachy so I mix with another foundation (the second foundation depends on the day, I legit have 20 different foundations so I can’t tell you which one I normally choose, haha!).

Estee Lauder Sumptuous Bold Volume Lifting Mascara: I have so many drugstore mascara favorites but I always find that high-end mascara lasts longer and shows even better results. The brush on this mascara is fabulous and it really makes your lashes thick!

bareMinerals Blush in the shade Hint: I got this as a gift from Christmas (s/o to Jenny) and the shade is so gorgeous. It’s slightly shimmery which will be perfect for spring and the pink is so poppy (…is that an actual adjective to use?).

Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser Primer: This primer is pretty similar to my e.l.f. primer but I notice my redness/zits are a little more concealed! The finish is 👌🏽

ColourPop x Amanda Steel Ultra Matte Lips in the shade Chaps: I am a huge fan of the Kylie Cosmetics lipsticks but 1) they’re kind of expensive anddd 2) super drying on the lips (that doesn’t stop me, though). ColourPop is the official dupe for KC and I am so in love with this collaboration with Amanda Steele. There are 3 different shades but ya’ll know I love a purple lip! I hate that I just said ya’ll..

Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow: The importance of a brow product in my makeup is essential. If I forget to do my brows, I die a little inside (it’s serious yo). I’ve started to define my brows with this dip brow and fill in with my ABH brow wiz! This brow product lasts forever and is pretty inexpensive, too! And I just said brow six times so that’s where we’re at.

I love Bare Minerals! I like that there stuff doesn’t feel too heavy. Great list of other products!

  • Linda Carmical

I literally just purchased some new makeup. Wish I had seen this post first, I probably would have tried some of these.

  • robin Rue

Those lashes look so pretty. I want to try those, actually. My natural lashes are pretty lame…..sigh.

  • Joanna @ Everyday Made Fresh

I’m not a huge makeup person, but I do love Bare Minerals! I used to buy their products on QVC, when that was the only place available to get them. All of their colors are really pretty.

  • Di Hickman

Ok I need help. I have some of the ELF lashes but I’m an absolute newbie to fake lashes. I can’t get them to stay on. Tutorial please?

  • Jessi

That baby skin primer is one of my faves! I have been using it for a while now and I absolutely love it!

  • Debra

I love these makeup tips and would love to get some new and better makeup!

  • Amanda Love

I normally have a ton of lipsticks in different shades plus my favorite eyeliner. I think it’s nice to have a cheek and lip tint as well. Thanks for sharing the contents of your make-up bag. I picked up some nice tips!

  • Cynthia @craftoflaughter

Oh I am so makeup challenged! I love reading your posts about it, helps me learn! Not so sure about my ability to put eye lashes on though!

  • Reesa Lewandowski

I’ve never tried eye lashes like that! I love the ELF brand so I would love to give those a try! Thank you for sharing!

  • Carlota

So many good items in your make up bag! Bare Minerals is one of my favorite brands, but I think I want to try the dream velvet foundation next 🙂 Thanks for sharing!

All sounds great. I dont really do make up much but I have some things in my bag I couldn’t live without. I’ll have to check some of these out!

  • Shelby

These products look great. I need to invest in a primer/concealer to hide my zits. I don’t wear a lot of make-up but there are some things I want to invest in.

  • Karen

I thin I’ll try out that Elf Lash Kit. I LOVE fake lashes and the look of BIG, long lashes. However, the lash stuff is so expensive! Elf has great prices so I could totally see this being a win-win!

  • Jennifer (JenuineMom)

Those dramatic lashes look like fun! And that Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser Primer sounds like something I NEED — glad you posted about it.

  • Tereza

Oh I love the shade of that Color Pop, I’ve literally been just browsing through the website so I could place a cheeky order haha x

  • Heather

I got some fake eyelashes in my last PopSugar Must Have box…I must say I have no idea how to use them! I have heard great things about that concealer, I think I am going to have to pick some up!

  • HilLesha

I have never tried any of these products before, but I love the sound of the Estee Lauder Sumptuous Bold Volume Lifting Mascara. I’ve been searching for a good mascara!

  • Kiwi

Great beauty products! I love the Elf lashes and always so affordable!

  • Heather

I feel the same way about my brows. I’d much rather forget every other thing in my makeup bag than not have what I need for good brows!

  • Amber Nelson

I would love to try the Elf lash kit. My lashes are so lame and I can see how they could make them look fab.

  • Stephanie Clark

I need a really good primer, maybe I will check this one out! My makeup routine needs to be changed up some.. thanks for the tips!

  • Tabitha Shakespeare

I love all of these products! Your makeup always looks amazing so thanks for sharing what you’ve been using!
