summer essentials.

HAPPY TUESDAY. And it’s a very happy Tuesday because I’m finally getting a post up *cue praise hands*. Even though it’s been cold-ish here, I’m still yearning for summer. Is it hot where you are? We have had clouds and rain every day for the past week 😑  I always have a love-hate relationship with summer because it involves mosquitoes, makeup sweating off, and frizzy hair BUT we also get fireworks, late-night bonfires, and going to the beach. What’s your favorite part about summer? With that being said, I thought I’d share a few essentials to get summer-ready (including a self-tanner because who goes outside?!) ☀️

Bloom Mineral 4 Piece Kit: I always love a good skincare product and finding new items for my skin. I’ve never even heard of Bloom Mineral so this was a fun kit! I got to try four different items all for a different purpose. My favorite by far was the purifying mud mask, my skin was SO smooth afterward! It contains aloe vera extract, honey, and olive oil. My only complaint was that it smells like a dirty lake (being honest over here…) but the result was amazing! The cleansing milk cleans your face and can remove makeup and the eye cream helps control signs of again and tiredness around eyes (ME.) I even have a handy dandy coupon code for you: skin25 (good through June 30th).

CUTE Swimsuit(s): I know swimsuit shopping can be a dread for some but I personally LOVE it. Scallops and stripes have been my go-to for suits. I got the cutest, old-fashioned vibe one piece from Shop Stevie but it’s all sold out (of course) and my size was too small. But, I’m linking a few of my favorites that have been on my wish list. I personally love a one piece with a low back or sheer front because they’re modest but still super cute. Also, I highly suggest getting at least one quality suit because you want it to last the entire summer!

Clear Eyes Pure Relief Multi-Symptom: Raise a hand if you wear contacts ☝🏼 My eyes can get so dry and watery when I wear my contacts (especially if they’re old) but I’ve never tried drops before. This is first preservative free eyes drop in a multidose bottle at retail in the US and works great for those who have red, itchy, dry, and/or gritty eyes. I’m not going to lie, I have only used this once or twice. Normally I just wash my eyes out with water, but this is a much easier way to work with my dry eyes. I have one bottle in my purse and one in my car, so I’m hoping I’ll start to remember I have some drops with me! I did notice once I used these drops, my eyes felt a lot more hydrated and relieved the dryness I had. I’d recommend this for a beach bag, too, because: sand. Click here to get $3 off!

essie Nail Polish in ‘Blanc’: You can go through summer without a fresh coat of polish! I love white nails because they’re so clean and essie is my favorite brand. Get a top coat if you’d like it to stay on extra long.

Nad’s Sensitive Hair Removal Cream: I never knew I need this until I got it. This stuff is AMAZING. I’m so obsessed. I hate to shave, but once summer is here, I’m shaving every day (ugh). All you have to do is apply this cream onto your legs and arms (I do both because when I was 9 I shaved my arms and then I looked like a gorilla until two years ago when I started shaving them) and wait 4 minutes. It’s quick, easy, painless, and perfect for sensitive skin.

St. Tropez Self Tan Classic Bronzing Mousse: This is one of the most popular self-tanners on the market. I’m always on the hunt for a self-tanner that doesn’t give an orange glow or streak marks and this is it. I only use a tanner in the wee days of summer because I really don’t need it, though! I have olive skin and it gets dark if I spend enough time in the sun. This stuff dries really quick and doesn’t fade which is a win win!

Coobie Bralette: I wear a lot of tanks in the summer and I normally pair a bralette with them. How gorgeous is this blush lace one? They’re ultra comfortable and come in three sizes (up to a 38D). They were all out of XS, which means I was sent a small and it’s way too big. I won’t be able to wear it but I’m definitely going to be ordering another one because they’re perfect for a tee (nothing too bulky). I wish I had gotten an XS, though! I’d recommend sizing down, I always do for bralettes. I love that they are adjustable and come in a large range of colors! Yes please 🙌🏼
