SquareHearts Unboxing + Review

I teamed up with SquareHearts, a fashion subscription box, to bring you an (honest) unboxing review! I’m so excited to share with you all the items from their July box. Yes, I realize it’s August, but you guys are so nice, I’m sure you won’t mind 😉

The boxes are $49.99, and are sent out monthly. Inside the box, are filled with clothes, beauty products, accessories, and more!  They guarantee over $200 worth of products per box, and there is no contract, so you can cancel at anytime (or skip a box one month).

I never received pricing for these items and since these products are specifically made for SquareHearts, I can’t find them anywhere else. I made some prices based on what I thought they would be worthy. Have you tried any of these products?

Beauty Treats ‘Peach’ Oxygen Bubble Mask ($5) // Skinny Matcha Burn Baby Burn Matcha Tea ($15?)

I’ve been wanting to try a carbonated mask for a really long time, so I was super excited to see this mask in my box! It comes with two masjs, and  claims it cleans and brightens. It was super fun to wear and watch it bubble up, but I didn’t see a big difference with my skin. It did feel just a little bit cleaner, but my skin wasn’t noticeably brighter. Overall, I didn’t feel much of a difference. Also, I definitely didn’t get a peach/papaya vibe from this mask 😮

I haven’t tried this matcha tea, but I can’t wait to see the results! Matcha is such a healthy tea to drink, and has so many great health benefits.  I can’t find this tea anywhere since it’s exclusive for SquareHearts but I’m going to start drinking it tomorrow, I’ll keep you updated!

Aviator sunglasses ($10, similar)

These sunglasses looked so cute in the box! I love the brow line the goes across the bridge, and they’re a very simple design. But, that’s where the good things stop. They’re way too big and don’t fit my face shape. The lens’ kind of droop down, which also bugs me. I have never bought aviators, just because they don’t fit, so I think I’ll hand these over to my sister and see if she likes them!

Grey top ($15?) // Black top ($25?) // Tote

I received 2 different tops, one grey and one black. I would’ve preferred to have more colorful tops, since it is summer. I love this black top! It’s really comfortable and great quality. I love the pleated detail and high neck, too! It’s a little see-through, but just barely. The back is really open, and has a very cool design. I don’t know how much I’ll wear this, since it pulls in on the neck. Although, this is my favorite item in the box so far!

This grey top looked…interesting when it was in the box. I’m not a fan of this top because of the odd shape and the fabric is a little itchy. The shape and design of the top was high/low but the back was SO low, it went past my knees, haha! I do love the crochet cut-outs all around the top! I was disappointed by the fabric, as well, since it seemed really cheap and wasn’t very soft. I’m not sure what the fabric was for the shirt.

The tote was cute, but I won’t use it since I already have 2 different totes. The fabric was really thick, it would be great for a beach bag or workout tote. The handles are really long, as well, which I’m not a fan of. I wasn’t very impressed by this, but I’ll give it to my sister, and hopefully she’ll like it!

Overall, I wasn’t a huge fan of this box. It was fun to unbox, but I won’t use a lot of the items. Some of the items seemed cheap, too, and the box didn’t pass over the guarantee of $200 (from my calcuations). Have you tried SquareHearts? What’s your favorite subscription box you’ve tried? If this looks like a box you’d like to try, use the promo code LYDIA10 for $10 off your first box!

Great review. I’ve heard of SquareHearts but have been hesitant with fashion subscription boxes because I’m a little afraid of the quality of the clothes and what I will get. But it is great to know how this works and that it’s a nice quality box.
