Splurge vs. Steal | Part 2

Hey guys! Sorry for the lack of posts this week, I was so busy this past week I wasn’t able to even sit down and write. Now, I’m sure you’re anxiously ¬†awaiting who won the giveaway, so congrats to Eleanor for winning! Make sure to accept your prize within 24 hours, otherwise I’ll have to move on to second place. Thanks to everyone who entered!

Now, if you read my post I wrote up on Friday, you know I posted about an outfit two different ways. One splurge and one steal. I’m sharing my thoughts on what I think you should spend a little more on and what you should spend a little less on. Thanks for reading, let me know your thoughts in the comments!

I’m a huge wearer of leggings (I have 6 different pairs #dontjudge). I wear them working, exercising, around the house and pretty much everywhere and anywhere when I’m feeling lazy. For most bottoms, such as skirts or dresses (I count them as bottoms not tops, just fyi), I think you can easily get away with some cute (and cheap) items. However, I do think, if you wear leggings quite often, splurge on 1 pair of plain, black leggings. Trust me, you’ll be wearing them even more, if that’s possible. I love my leggings from Lululemon, they have pockets (‘nough said).

Jeans are constantly being worn by me for at least 7 months a year. Buy 2 nice pairs of jeans so they hold up! Rag + Bone and Joe’s are both semi-affordable designers that have great quality for their jeans.

Almost all of my shoes I have, I had to splurge on. I’m really happy I did, though, because not only have they held up twice as long as my other cheaper option shoes but they so much more comfortable for my feet.

You don’t have to spend a fortune on a necklace, but don’t cheap out either (I’m thinking ’bout you Forever21). I rarely wear accessories so it’s really easy for me to spend less than most people I know on accessories. You can find very affordable places that sell (somewhat) quality jewelry (like Charming Charlie!).

I totally agree with shoes, the more you spend the more comfortable your feet will be!

Omg yay! I’m so excited, thank you so so much!

I would splurge on all the same items: jeans, shoes, and bags. You’re definitely paying for quality.
