Simple Valentines Day Makeup

:: shop the post ::

I’m all about a simple makeup look and the one I’m about to share only took 15 minutes (does it get any better than that?). I promised last week I would share more details on my recent love of going foundation-free, too! What does your Valentine’s Day makeup going to look like?

I prime my face after moisturizing and apply concealer under my eyes, nose, forehead, and chin. I blend in part of my concealer using my newest foundation brush from Idun Minerals which is absolutely amazing and then finish off with my beautyblender for the best, most flawless finish 😍

I didn’t use finishing powder for this look, but sometimes I will (if I do, this powder is my favorite). The rest of my face consists of blush and some light contouring.

If you can’t already tell, I’m not wearing eyeshadow (SHOCK!!). Well, actually, I’m wearing a teeny tiny bit of a bright white on my brow bone but that’s it! The only thing left for my eyes was a bold winged eyeliner (check out this post for a step-by-step tutorial) and dramatic lashes. A red lip is an obvious choice for Valentine’s Day, I love the shade ‘Hot Chills’ from Estee Lauder. It’s stunning! It’s a tad bit on the orange side, but I’m obsessed with it.

Last thing to talk about would be my hair. Let’s take a moment to appreciate that it actually looks good. WHO KNEW. The only thing I can do with my hair is curl, straighten, and throw in a messy bun. I did half up – half down top knot and then straightened the hair that was down.

    The make up is delightful. It is interesting how the less look actually appears that you have more on. Like no eye shadow??? What??? I love the lip color too.

    My wing liner never looks that good. I don’t know if it is the fact that I have small eyes or a not so steady hand, but alas it is never even. I love this look you created, especially the red lip. You gotta wear a red lip on Valentine’s Day.

    Your brows are on point! I feel like this is a dramatic look but it really doesn’t come off as dramatic the way you wear it. Beautiful!
