Rosy Pink Spring Makeup Tutorial

One of my favorite brands for eyeshadows is Tarte and their Tarteist Pro palette is the prettiest and perfect for Spring! I’ve got a really simple tutorial for you lovely readers today. It’s been a while since I’ve done a makeup tutorial and I thought this look would be perfect for starting out the new season (although it’s currently snowing #why)! Also, side note: happy first day of Spring! It’s 62 out right now (WAT.) and I’m loving it 😍 🙋🏻

This look is a combo of a halo eye and smokey eye, which are two of my favorite types of eyeshadow techniques. There is a lighter shade in the center of my eye (halo) and a darker shade in the corner (smokey eye), but don’t let that scare you!

I’ve been using the Maybelline Dream Velvet foundation which I’ve shared my love for before. I used a tiny bit of concealer and powder and topped with just a little blush. I blended everything in using my beautyblender! I’ve been using the contour kit from Anastasia Beverly Hills which is amazing. Since it’s a powder, if you make a mistake you can just blend it out (aka the perfect kit for beginners).

Now that we’ve got the basics covered, let’s get into some eye details. This eyeshadow look is all from the Tarte Tarteist Pro palette which makes it easy since you won’t be switching in between several palettes (something I do frequently, oops!). I started with mixing ‘classic’ and ‘vintage’ all over my eyelid. ‘Profesh’ was next and I applied this onto my crease with a fluffy brush. I took a smokey eye brush and applied ‘mod’ into the outer corner of my eye and applied just a touch of ‘glam’ into the inner eye corner (for a little shimmer).

Once my eyeshadow is done, I move in on the eyelinermascara, highlighter (look at that GLOW), and brows. I know you may be a little shocked, but I didn’t use any liquid eyeliner. I took the Rodial eye shadow stick and lined my top water line. It’s actually supposed to be used as cream eyeshadow but it works perfectly for lining and adding a little bit of depth to my eyes without actually looking like I used eyeliner. I’ve been using this mascara from Maybelline and it’s my new favorite! I swear drugstore mascara is da best. Please excuse my brows, they’ve been misbehaving lately 😉 And my lipstick is the shade famous from Smashbox.

Hope you all have a fantastic Monday and first day of Spring! And don’t forget to enter my giveaway for $1,500 worth of Spring clothes that are trending right now!

what a great look! I admit I started wearing a little blush again recently as I lsot all my summer tan and felt a little washed out. Really makes a difference!

Well girl – you look fabulous! Love the ease with eyeshadows when/if you “mess up” you can blend it better! Now I need to check out that lipstick of yours! Such a beautiful color!

Your eyebrows are everything, you need to come do my makeup. I love that light pink eyeshadow on you, it really highlights your green eyes so well x

This is a really nice look. I tend to opt for golds and pinks above all else for my skin tone, but I definitely need practice to get my eyeshadow as on point as yours!

Makeup is interesting to me. I would never guess that a smokey eye would go with this rose look but it looks great!

I always love your make up look on you. But I don’t think I could ever pull off that look on myself probably because I am not good at applying I make up .

That palette again, you’re really tempting me haha! I love the pinks on you. I’m in the process of having my hair dyed grey and I really think pink will go nicely with it. I don’t normally wear it a lot as a brunette (I find it looks a little flat on me at times) but will definitely try it once my hair’s all done! x

This is such a pretty look, i love that it enhances your natural beauty rather than covering it up with bulky make up or loud colors!

Such a beautiful and soft look. I have never tried the tarte pallet. By the way your brows are spot on, what do you use?

I’m in love with that palette! Especially the darker tones. Your makeup looks very natural and very pretty. I think that’s the best way to wear makeup…enhance not hide 🙂

Love the look of pinks for summer. I am slowly refreshing my makeup and even how I apply it. I love reading reviews and tutorials lately.

  28. 03/23/2017 / 11:57 pm

I love that color palette – I actually have quite a few of theirs and I love how they go on & stay on!

This is so apt for the season. I like how it’s emphasis is just on the eye and still very minimalist. I really like the shades you used.
