Purple Smokey Eye

Ever since I dyed my hair copper, I definitely pay more attention to my eyeshadow/lipstick shades to make sure they match (totally normal?). Purple has been my go-to shade, and the Tarteist Pro palette has so many pretty lavender and plum colors. This palette has quickly become one of my favorites! I used 4 different shades for this eyeshadow look, but it’s really easy, trust me 😜

I am actually going foundation free for this look, I’m sharing more into that in next week’s post. For now, all I’m wearing one my face is concealer, finishing powder, blush, and highlighter. I used itCosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye underneath my eyes and in really red spots (my nose and cheeks) and Maybelline’s SuperStay concealer on those zits 🙅🏽I’ve been going without foundation for a week or two and I love it! It looks so natural and lasts throughout the entire day since I don’t have a ton of product layered on.

Let’s get onto that smokey eye, k: Apply minx all over the lid. Buff drama along the crease and then sculpt the outer corner with vamp. Next, blend mod into the inner corner and define the brow bone with chic. Finish by tracing minx along the lower lash line and applying eyeliner and mascara!

After that, I kept the rest of my eye simple with a (very messy) eyeliner, mascara, and a brow pen! I coated my lips with Tarte’s matte lip paint in the shade pillowtalk which is the perfect nude shade 👌🏽

I love the smokey eye look though I rarely go anywhere that warrants much makeup! And Nivea is a favorite brand of mine!

That’s a beautiful smoky eye! And it goes SO well with your hair color. If there’s one colour of eyeshadow that I can pull off it’s purple, so I will be giving this a try 🙂

I am absolutely clueless with makeup, so your instructions are a little over my head – but this looks so pretty. I love the purple color!

I love the purple! I completely understand the need to change up your makeup due to your hair color! I have been everything from dark brown, blonde, red to fuschia and that is always the hardest part about changing is having to switch your makeup out and even sometimes even your clothes! You did great though!

I’ve been trying to learn how to do a smokey eye look for awhile. I like the way that you did it because it really looks natural and not too made up.
