Naked2 Basics Smokey Eye

:: shop the post ::

I love a simple smokey eye for a makeup look. I go through phases of eyeshadow shades, a few months ago I was all about purple. The beginning of January I was in love with rosy/pink, now I’m back to neutrals (tan, gray, brown, etc). If you saw this post about my must-have beauty products, I mentioned that the Naked2 basics palette was something you definitely needed! This smokey eye was created with only 3 shades and really easy, trust me 👍🏼

For the primer, I used the e.l.f. Blurring Primer and blended in Maybelline’s Dream Velvet Foundation (shade: 60 ) with a blender. You only need a tiny bit of the foundation, it’s really thick! I grabbed it from Target a few weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised at how well the coverage was. I’ve seen it being used on a few other beauty blogs so thought I’d give it a test run! Less than $10 and comes in a ton of different shades.

I didn’t use a finishing powder for this look, but I did apply a little bit of blush, highlighter, and bronzer.

More on that smokey eye, though. The Naked2 Basics palette is just that, basic. There are six different shades, all neutral and perfect tones for a smokey eye. I made this a really easy tutorial, I only used 3 shades (2 of those were for the actual smokey eye).

(shade) was applied all over my lid with a fluffy brush (my exact brush that I used). After that, I used (shade) on my crease and corner of my eye. I topped (shade) over (shade) in the corner of my eye. The rest of my eye consisted of a winged eyeliner (obvi) and mascara.

That’s it! If you don’t have the Naked2 Basics palette, invest in it. You could also test out a few other drugstore palettes, like this one or this one! Happy Monday 💕

    Can I just have you come do my make up for me everyday? I am going to have to sit down one day and just practice over and over till I master it.

    I love the look of the Smokey eye but never tried to do it myself. Having everything you need on one palette would certainly help people like me.
