Since I know most people would rather sleep in than get up 30-45 minutes early (me), I decided it was finally time to share my go-to makeup. I’ve had a lot of snaps asking for a quick tutorial, so here it is! Of course, sometimes I’ll add a few more/less products, or just go makeup-free. Because it’s like, 90* here, my makeup has a very natural look to it (not airbrushed), which is what I prefer for the summer. Keep reading to see what I used (+ dupes), some tips, and more!
yes, as a matter of fact, i did just finish working out and never changed #reallife
My face only has 3 products (including the setting spray) which makes for a quick look.
For my face, I used a small amount of some BareMinerals BB cream*. This has really light coverage and is perfect for hotter days. I have the shade Chestnut (09). I used a damp BeautyBlender and blended it all in, going onto my neck and ears.
Next, I took some NARS concealer and continued to blend it into my skin. I love this concealer! It has great coverage and doesn’t crease. I use my fingers or a damp BeautyBlender to blend. The shade I use is Caramel
I don’t use any face powder, but I do add a setting spray after all my makeup is done.
EYES + LIPS :::
For the rest of my face, I keep it really simple with some mascara and a bright lip.
Last product, is a bright lip. I love wearing a colorful lip color for the summer, and it really helps up your makeup look. The brand and color I’m using is Nars Audacious Lipstick in Angela. I also really like Maybelline’s Vivid Matte Lipsticks (the color electric pink is stunning!), if you’re looking for a cheaper option. I ordered a Kylie lip kit (how could I not?) in 22, which I’m SO excited to try out.
Lastly, I finished off with a touch* of Urban Decay Setting Spray. I would highly recommend this if you want your makeup to last all day and/or didn’t use a finishing powder!
My life changed when I got a BeautyBlender. Get it! It makes a huge (HUGE) different in how your makeup looks. If your skin needs more coverage, try Dr. Jart’s BB cream mixed with your favorite foundation.
If you need to, fill in your eyebrows with an eyebrow pencil for a natural look.
You don’t need to spray on a ton of setting spray, just a little bit will work. Otherwise, it will look shiny!
