celebrity workout routines.

I have a confession to make. I am finally getting back to working out after a FOUR-week hiatus. Oops! I ended up having to reset my entire BBG, so I’m back to week one (the worst). Anyway, I was watching Gigi Hadid’s boxing workout and finally managed enough motivation to start working out again. Speaking of Gigi and celebrities, I thought I’d share some workouts that celebs LIVE by.

:: Charlize Theron ::

Theron uses light dumbbells (5lb and under) to make sure she’s getting strong but not bulky. She also adds on at least 35 minutes of cardio (my favorite cardio workouts here).

What you need: 3 and 5 lb. dumbbells, a yoga mat, bench, and a 15-20 lb. exercise ball.

Sneak peak of your workout: Piles in second position, seated bicep curls,  side laterals, butt lifts and more! Click here for Charlize’s full workout.

:: Kelly Ripa ::

I love workouts that you can do at home and Kelly provides us with the perfect routine that you can do at home and tones + shapes your body! She also swears by SoulCycle (like every other celebrity), which is an indoor cycling class.

What you need: Rubber ball (yep, that’s it!)

Sneak peak of your workout: Leg raises, squat with ball squeeze, rolling crunch. To get your body toned, check out Kelly’s workout here.

:: Alessandra Ambrosios ::

This is the exact workout routine Alessandra used to get in shape for the Victoria Secret Fashion Show. It’s a full body workout plus, it’s really easy to follow since you can watch her do the workout with her trainer.

What you need: Workout ball

Sneak peak of your workout: lots of stretching (v important), lunges, squats. I did this workout this morning and I loved it! You can build up and do more reps if you want. Get yo’ butt moving with Ale and her trainer here.

:: Kristin Cavallari ::

Kristin gets the blood pumping with this fast-paced and tough workout. She uses heavy workouts because she’s trying to gain muscle (instead of losing weight). This is a great workout if you go to the gym, since it requires a leg curl machine, cable pull, and other gym equipment.

What you need: Dumbbell, bench, leg curl machine, leg press (my favorite!)

Sneak peek of your workout: Side planks, leg press and curl, hanging garhammer. Get

:: Gigi Hadid ::

Gigi Hadid is a fan of boxing, which is great for your core and toning your body! She also jumps rope which slims down your legs and is fun. I couldn’t find too much info on her exact routine but I found this post where her trainer describes her workout and this one where she shares all her tips for staying fit (and favorite workouts).

:: Kim Kardashian ::

Kim K had a huge transformation after her pregnancy and we were blessed to see her entire workout routine on Snapchat. And it’s hard. Besides her daily routine, she also loves SoulCycle and Pilates.

What you need: Jump rope, yoga mat

Sneak peak of your workout: running, planks, and squats. check out Kim’s workout HERE.

    Making time to “go” to the gym can be so hard. I love the list of home workouts! Thank you for sharing 🙂 I didn’t realize some of these existed!

    These days post baby I’m all about some workouts I can do at home! Great run down of some easy things to add into the daily mix.

    By the way, Kelly Ripa is a beast when it comes to working out. I took a SoulCycle class with her one time and she was so committed. It was so inspiring to watch!

    I rarely work out. Ok, who’m I kidding. I never work out. But looking at the at home workouts makes me want to get my butt off the couch and start. I can totally manage 3-5 lb dumbbells. That looks fun and easy!

    Gigi is inspiring. I would love to do boxing. I had a friend in high school get right into shape doing it!

  • Terri Steffes

    I am so unmotivated. I liked seeing these at home workouts. I think I could do some of these.

    The timing of this post is perfect for me!!! I Pilates membership and joined a walking group, but I don’t usually have time to go when I want. I’ve been thinking about what else I can add it at home, at my convenience. Thanks!
