Oh HEY. Fun fact of the year: I clean my brushes obsessively. Probably every few weeks, but that’s totally okay, if not majorly important. Cleaning your makeup brushes helps with applying makeup better and there is a pretty good just you’ll have cleaner skin. Just think about all the germs collected on those brushes (from that pretty face of yours and the product)and without cleaning them, your brushes become a place for germs to live (ICK). Forgetting to clean your brushes can also affect how long your brushes last, too. The good news is that it only takes a household product and a few minutes for your brushes to be sparkly clean. So, if you are wondering how to clean makeup brushes, I’ve got you covered!
Happy Monday! It’s finally starting to spring just barely which makes me so happy. It’s been raining all weekend but since I love (love) rain, I’m totally ok with that #seattleimcomingforyou. I have seen bloggers everywhere on Instagram comfortably wearing shorts and dresses which makes me a tad jealous. I braved the 45* weather to shoot this look for you but too much talk about weather and not enough talk about clothes.

Happy Friday! I always look forward to Friday because: 1) FRIDAY anddd 2) I get to share my weekly fitness post. If you remember this post from a while ago, I shared the contents of my gym bag and there were a ton of products (sorry not sorry) but thought I’d share the necessities every fitness lover should own! What’s one fitness product you can’t live without?
Who remembers way back when this post went live? Laura, Selma, and I collaborated on styling the same top differently. It was seriously so fun and we’re back to share more inspo! Laura blogs over at Twenty Teenz and Selma is a blogger on her style blog, La Selma Style. Oby is also joining us who is a total stunner 😍 All gals are totally wonderful and so are their blogs (especially Selma’s and Oby’s because they live in New York which means amazing photos).
One of my favorite brands for eyeshadows is Tarte and their Tarteist Pro palette is the prettiest and perfect for Spring! I’ve got a really simple tutorial for you lovely readers today. It’s been a while since I’ve done a makeup tutorial and I thought this look would be perfect for starting out the new season (although it’s currently snowing #why)! Also, side note: happy first day of Spring! It’s 62 out right now (WAT.) and I’m loving it 😍 🙋🏻

It’s almost the weekend! I’m so ready for Saturday to be here, but until then, I’ll be catching up on my workouts. If you caught last weeks fitness post, I mentioned I haven’t worked out in a few weeks. I managed to motivate myself and have started my workout routine back up and even though I’m sore (my poor muscles), I’m glad to be back into working out! I’ll be the first to tell you, I love a good workout app. I already do so much on my phone, it’s pretty convenient to have my workouts on my phone too! I’ve rounded up my favorite workout apps (free and paid) to share with you. Trust me, they’re pretty fantastic 😍🎉 Take a peek at a few other popular fitness posts from the past few months, go here.
I have this thing for Target (as I’m sure most of you do) and as I was doing my daily weekly run through, I noticed a new skin care brand that looked really great! Acure is an affordable, organic skin care brand. All the ingredients in their products are plant and food based and vegan, sulfate/paraben/cruelty free. It doesn’t get any better than that! I’m all for organic skincare products since you’re skin absorbs all of those ingredients (obvi). Anyway, I grabbed two products from their line which I’ve been using a little over a week: acne spot treatment and glowing facial serum. At first, I didn’t think I needed the acne treatment since I don’t have acne but I’ve been using it on zits and on my T-zone and YO, it’s fantastic
You guys know I love a good drugstore find and I’ve found a great foundation combo that’s less than $25. Whoever says you can’t have flawless foundation with drugstore products was totally wrong! I’ve been on the hunt for the best foundation (drugstore or high-end) and these two foundations (yep, I mix two different foundations, another thing I love to do haha!) work perfectly.
Just a friendly reminder that I haven’t worked out in, get this, two weeks. I was on vacay two weeks ago and I obviously wasn’t going to work out then, and I couldn’t get my butt into action this past week. I didn’t think it would be fitting to share a few of my workout routines since 1) I haven’t tried any new ones anddd 2) I haven’t worked out in general (please see above). However! I have been stretching a lot, every day for about 20 minutes, and doing some yoga. I can finally do a head stand (!!) and the crow, I’m mega proud even though it’s not that cool. Anyway, I thought I’d go over a few of the benefits of stretching since it’s SO important to do. Not only after a workout but before, too (so many people forget about stretching before a work out).
